PROSORB customized panel
PROSORB is the proven silica gel for stabilizing the relative humidity (RH) in museum showcases. PROSORB can adsorb and release a large amount of water vapor between 30% and 60% RH. The humidity range for artworks made of organic materials is kept as constant as possible with PROSORB and moisture fluctuations are buffered. PROSORB will be delivered adjusted to the desired humidity value.
PROSORB panels are being used for very flat applications such as painting showcases.
Custom made panels: up to 600 x 1150 mm, special shapes possible
Thickness : 10 or 20 mm
Material : polypropylene honeycomb panel, polyester fleece, Marvelseal 360; alternatively: polyester fleece on both sides
Packing: aluminium barrier film
Application example: microclimateclimate frames for paintings
The 10 mm thick panels are filled with approx. 3.5 kg PROSORB / m². Total weight approx. 5 - 5.5 kg / m² depending on conditioning.
The 20 mm thick panels are filled with approx. 7.5 kg PROSORB / m². Total weight approx. 10.5 - 12 kg / m² depending on conditioning.
The fleece laminated honeycomb panels were Oddy-tested in 2011 and are suitable for permanent use in museum showcases. The aluminum composite film Marvelseal is sealed without additional materials. The edges are reinforced with 3M # 425 soft aluminum tape, also Oddy tested.

Rectangular panels in 10 mm thickness:
Price = € 340, - x area in m² + € 25, - x perimeter in m.
A panel 60 x 40 x 1 cm would cost € 81,60 + € 50, - = € 131,60
Rectangular panels in 20 mm thickness:
Price = € 460, - x area in m² + € 30, - x perimeter in m.
Special requests such as fleece lining on both sides, recesses, special shapes, etc. at extra cost, please inquire.
